  • Local Data: All books, reading progress, and annotations are stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to this data.

  • Subscriptions: Payment processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card or billing information.

3. AI and Translation

Kanshu uses local LLMs (Large Language Models) for translations and grammar analysis whenever possible. If cloud-based translation services are used, only the specific text you select is sent to the provider, and no personal identifiers are attached.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data that is transmitted to our services. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
